Já quase em fim de semana, que é como quem diz... amanhã é dia de trabalho aqui no Brancoprata. Hoje quisemos publicar o primeiro trabalho gráfico que fizemos para 2011: os convites da Susana e do Gustavo, cujo casamento está marcado para o dia doze de Março! Um esquema de cores muito suave em tons verde água e amarelo muito claro!

It's almost weekend which means that tomorrow... is another working day for us... anyway, today we wanted to share the first design we did for 2011: Invitation suite for Susana and Gustavo, whose wedding is scheduled for March! They choose a very soft color scheme, using pale green and yellow.

Já a pensar na decoração que vamos fazer com hortênsias ou hidrangeas (como são conhecidas mais a Norte) e suculentas!

We were inspired by the flowers we are using for the venue decor: hydrangeas and succulents!

Para o texto optamos por utilizar fontes diferentes que resultaram num texto elegante com um toque moderno.

We worked with differents fonts and the end result was quite elegant with a modern twist.

Por norma os nossos convites são sempre acompanhados de um mapa com indicações para o local da cerimónia assim como um pequeno cartão com os contactos dos noivos e data de confirmação.

Normally we do a small map for the venue and a small card similar to RSVP card.

Já a estruturar o resto da linha gráfica e a decoração, iremos mostrar tudo depois do dia 12 de Março!

We are already brainstorming about paper goods for this wedding and we promise to post everything after the 12th of March!

Since today we started with fashion why not end it with more fashion, this time from Alberta Ferretti's spring 2011 campaign... soft and romantic. It would be so easy to make an inspirational board aroud this simple yet beautiful "wedding dress":

E os vestidos para as damas de honor (que não precisam de ser iguais, basta que estejam conjugados ao nivel das cores, estilos ou padrões):

And bridesmaids dresses (a mix match of colors or patterns):

O resultado final seria irreverente? Sem dúvida, mas diferente e muito interessante!

The end result would be irreverent? No doubt but different and very interesting!

You probably already saw this amazing photo shoot for NonPareil Magazine. The elegant photos are from Elizabeth Messina, the styling by Cortnie of Canvas & Canopy and the flowers from Megan of La Partie Events. We thought it would be nice to share some of our favorite images of the shoot.

A peça para o cabelo é lindíssima (alerta para um possível substituto dos birdcage veils) e uma proposta interessante para a distribuição dos convidados ou das lembranças!

The headpiece is exquisite (trend alert, the new substitute for birdcage veils) and the setting is perfect for escort cards or favors!

Uma das coisas que fazemos nas nossas decorações é colocar um apontamento decorativo nas cadeiras dos noivos, por isso achamos esta ideia perfeita!

One of the things we really like on a wedding is a beautiful chair decorated with fresh flowers, this one is absolutely gorgeous!

Olivia Palermo foi fotografada por Astrid Muñoz para o último número da revista Vogue-Espanha! As imagens publicadas, todas em preto e branco são muito interessantes e até divertidas! O que mais nos chamou à atenção foram as joias e acessórios usados! Não somos grandes fãs de tiaras... fazem-nos lembrar aqueles vestidos "pesadões" com mangas em balão que as noivas usavam... nos anos oitenta ... No entanto não conseguimos resistir a publicar estas imagens, principalmente a primeira! Demasiado?

Olivia Palermo was photographed by Astrid Muñoz for the latest issue of Vogue-Spain! The published images, all in black and white are very interesting, even fun! But what caught our attention was the jewelry and accessories Olivia worn! We are not big fans of tiaras ... it remind us of those "big" dresses with balloon sleeves, brides wore ... in the eighties ... However we could not resist publishing these pictures, especially the first! Too much?

A primeira vez que vi este primeiro arranjo, o meu coração acelerou um bocadinho, não só pela conjugação inteligente de flores mas pelo esquema de cores... e claro, pela beleza e luminosidade da imagem! Como é costume, comecei logo a imaginar uma série de cenários ... Seria possível fazer um quadro que resultasse da intersecção entre o tropical e o clássico chique? Seria possível casar numa ilha paradisíaca, junto ao mar, numa tenda luxuosa e elegante que não gritasse "trópicos"? Seria possível não me inspirar no mar mas na cor da areia e da fauna característica do local? E acima de tudo seria possível incutir esta crescente tendência para 2011, as lantejoulas... leram bem, lantejoulas douradas, prateadas estão em todo o lado! E enganem-se aqueles que pensavam que era algo passageiro e apenas para usar no dia 31 de Dezembro!

Ultimamente têm surgido várias inspirações e produções com estes "brilhos", e depois de uma onda "vintage" que correu o mundo nos últimos dois anos, esta lufada de ar fresco sabe bem!!

É Sábado... divirtam-se!

The first time I saw this floral arrangement, my heart fluttered a bit, not only by the intelligent combination of flowers but because of the color scheme they used... and of course, the beauty and brightness of the photography! As usual, I immediately started imagining a series of scenarios ... Would it be possible to make a board that would result from the intersection between classic and tropical chic? Would it be possible to get married by the sea, on a paradise island,in a luxurious and elegant tent that does not scream"tropics"? I didn't want to be inspired by the colors of the ocean but by the color of sand and existing fauna? And most importantly, would it be possible to instill this growing trend for 2011, the sequins ... that's correct: gold sequins and silver sequins are everywhere! ... Don't tell me you thought it was only a New Years Eve trend?
Lately there have been several styled shoots with these inspirations and "glows" which feels like a breath of fresh air after these past two years of "let's do vintage, let's do rustic, all the way"!

It's Saturday ... have fun!

We believe that in 2011 wedding vendors, in Portugal, will bring back fresh flowers to their centerpieces! At least this is one of the things we wish for 2011! Beautiful the way flowers were used in this wedding!
