Um dos pontos altos da nossa viagem à Nova Zelândia foi, sem dúvida conhecer a Kate (da Ruby & Willow e do blog Magnolia Rouge). Depois de passarmos meses a conversar on-line, foi uma emoção conhece-la e finalmente poder conversar com ela frente a frente. A oportunidade única de estar quer com a Steph, do BubbleRock Studios (uma das nossas noivas da Nova Zelândia) quer com a Kate resultou numa pequena produção que fizemos num final de tarde. O tempo de preparação foi quase inexistente... tivemos de correr (literalmente) para ter tudo pronto! Por incrível que pareça estava muito vento e por isso muito frio... mas no final, a opinião foi unânime... "valeu a pena" e divertimo-nos imenso... ah e queremos repetir a experiência!!

 

One of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand was undoubtedly to know Kate (of Ruby & Willow and Magnolia Rouge). After spending months talking online, it was a thrill to meet her and finally be able to talk to her face to face. A unique opportunity to be either with Steph of BubbleRock Studios (one of our brides in New Zealand) and with Kate resulted in a small photoshoot. The preparation time was almost non-existent ... we had to run (literally) to get everything ready! Amazingly it was windy and cold ... but in the end, the opinion was unanimous ... "it was worth it" and we had a blast ... oh and ladies,  we want to repeat the experience!

Desde a passada sexta feira todos nós, de uma maneira ou de outra, temos seguido as notícias sobre a tragédia que assolou o Japão. Não é possível ficar indiferente... é mau demais... é triste demais. Apesar de nos sentirmos todos impotentes acreditamos que é sempre possível fazer alguma coisa para ajudar... por mais pequena que seja!

O artigo de hoje é mais sério, não tem a beleza e alegria dos casamentos e festas que publicamos aqui... mas tem a força da solidariedade, que num momento como este é fundamental!

Na próxima sexta feira faremos um "dia de silêncio" aqui no blog, o que significa que não iremos publicar nenhum artigo, é a nossa forma de homenagear as vitimas da tragédia no Japão. Hoje também não iremos aderir ao Tuesday Shoe Day (desculpem mas não conseguimos pensar em sapatos...)!

Since last friday all of us have followed the news about the tragedy that struck Japan and nobody can remain indifferent ... it's too sad. Although we all feel powerless, we believe that one can always do something to help ... however small it may seems!

Today's post is more serious, doesn't have the beauty and glamor of the weddings and parties that we post here ... but has the virtue of solidarity which at a time like this is the key!

On Friday we will do a "day of silence " on the blog, which means that we will not post anything on our blog, it's our way of honoring the victims of this tragedy! And today we  will not join the Shoe Day Tuesday (sorry but can not think of shoes ...)!

 

How to help:
Go to For Japan with Love and make a donation, however small it may be, it's important and will make a difference! The organization chosen for the donations is ShelterBox, one of the first on the scene after the earthquake on Friday.

É bem provável que se lembrem deste casal! A Ana e o João casaram-se no dia 13 de Novembro de 2011, na Quinta de Cepêda, numa cerimónia muito intima, rodeados da família e amigos mais próximos! Como o casal vive actualmente em Inglaterra e têm os amigos espalhados pelo mundo inteiro, sabemos que este artigo vai ser muito especial para todos pois é uma oportunidade única, de recordar um dia que para eles foi tão especial!!

 

You probably remember this couple this couple! Ana and João were married on November 13, 2011 at Quinta de Cepêda, in a very intimate ceremony, surrounded by family and closest friends! Since the couple currently lives in England and have friends around the world, we know that this post will be very special for everyone because it is a unique opportunity to remember a day that was so special for them!

 

 

As jóias e o "pouco tradicional" ramo de noiva que a Ana escolheu são da White Bling, o suporte das alianças é (como já devem ter percebido) da Paloma's Nest

Ana's jewels and the non traditional bouquet are from White Bling, the ring bearer bowl is from (you alredy guess by now) Paloma's Nest.

 

O casal decidiu encontrar-se antes da cerimónia... Aqui, foi a primeira vez que se viram no dia do casamento.

The couple decided to meet before the ceremony... Here's the first time they saw each other on their wedding day.

 

 

O material gráfico ficou a cargo de uma prima muita talentosa da Ana e a decoração foi toda idealizada no dia anterior pela Ana, pelo João e familia mais próxima!!

Stationery and paper goods were made by a talented cousin and all the flowers and decorations were made the day before the wedding by Ana, João and some close relatives!
